What's in your crosshairs?

It is a privilege to celebrate the resurrection of Christ in our lives and we must make heaven our scope or aim. So today the first question you must consider is have you been raised with Christ? That is, having benefit by the resurrection of Christ, and by virtue of our union and communion with Him are justified and sanctified, and shall be glorified.

We have been called as Christians to set our minds on the things above, not the orders of this world. According to our capacities we must live a life here on earth that mirrors that life of Christ when he was on earth. He is our best friend and sits at the right hand of our heavenly Father, so our affections and love should be set upon heavenly things.

Do you have business in your life today that is focused more on this world than the heavenly world? Do you have thoughts today that are more focused on this world than the heavenly world? Do you have desires today that focus more on this world than the heavenly world? Things are on this earth are in opposition to the things above. Heaven and earth are contrary to one another.

David left us a great creed in Psalm 27:4. One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.

If we truly desire to seek the things that are above, we will deny the things that are of this earth. I pray today that we seek to serve and please our heavenly Father more than the things of this world. We know if we have been raised with Christ, heaven should be our focus or aim.

Prayer: Ask God today to reveal any thoughts or actions in your life that are not focused on heaven.
