Your Very Best

This day the Lord your God commands you to observe these statues and judgements; therefore you shall be careful to observe them with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 26:16

It's so easy to motivate someone when they are competing to do their very best, to push them to give all they got to win the race, ballgame, or performance.

God didn't ask for a % or an amount when it came to giving all your heart to following Him. Further in this text He mentions the people proclaiming the Lord to be their God and to follow His ways and commands. If you proclaim Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior, His command is simple: give me your very best.

Daily we should be doing a self examination to see if we are giving all our heart and soul to God in serving others, studying/praying, and living for him. He commands nothing less than all your heart and soul in this area. As you see in the picture above, He doesn't require an amount other than all you got. God just wants all your heart and soul in following him.

Prayer: Father forgive us for only giving half hearted efforts in serving you and loving others. Help us today to give you our very best and first fruits in our life. God show us how to give you all our hearts.
